Grocery Stores

In Harbor Springs, the IGA is a complete grocery store with no self-checkout lanes! Baggers will even help you carry your groceries to your car. The store has a nice wine selection!

In between Harbor Springs and Petoskey is the legendary Toski-Sands. You can find everything that you want at this high-end specialty store. Be sure to cry their WhiteFish spread and homemade cheese dip. But there’s so much more to this treasure of a store where you can buy good produce, first-quality meats, liquor, wines, cheese and everyday staples.

In Petoskey, on the edge of Bay View, is Fresh Market, which also sells liquor and wine.

Also in Petoskey, on the way to Conway, is Oleson’s, a locally owned grocery store which has a fabulous bakery and everything else you would expect to find in a full supermarket. Oleson’s also has a full selection of wine and liquor.

Special Bakeries, Sweet Stores and Ice Cream

We’re a little ashamed to tell you that we’re experts in this category. We’ve sampled (on many occassions) nearly everything at the following stories.

Yummies in Harbor Springs is a must for ice cream in the summer! The hardest part will be deciding what to order. (Tennessee Toffee is a favorite of many.)

Kilwin’s has been an institution in Harbor Springs for what seems like forever. And there’s good reason why! The ice cream. The caramel corn. The fudge. (We could keep going. But maybe just try for yourself!) And you can also swing by the Kilwin’s factory in Petoskey where they also sell their many delicacies.

Johan’s Pastry Shop in Harbor Springs is another one of those must-dos! Their donuts and cookies can’t be beat.

Crooked Tree Breadworks in between Harbor Springs and Petoskey, and just a few feet from Toski Sands, bakes amazing bread and scones every day! The cherry bread is one of our favorites, but the scones are a close second. And the sourdough. And don’t forget about the curried pistachios.
